Nissan

Maxima sfx version

This award winning launch video was produced for Nissan and George P. Johnson agency as part of the New York autoshow launch event. Shot on RED by director/DP Craig Barker, the video looks and feels like a national tv spot, as it plays with the duality of the sporty, yet luxurious, new Maxima. Shot over a weekend inside one of the massive old blimp hangars at the Tustin Air Station, the production utilized a special apparatus called a “photo bubble”, to create a football field sized studio within the hangar. Two huge Musco lighting trucks provided the large light source that was spread evenly within the photo bubble. The car was shot by a number of specialty rigs that tracked the hero car as it raced in and through the photo bubble.
